TRADITION! Opening Reception - July 13, 2012

The opening reception for TRADITION! (as uttered by Zero Mostel in Fiddler on the Roof) was held on July 13, 2012 at the Regional Arts Commission Gallery.  Buzz Spector, a Jewish artist, writer, and curator and Dean of the College and Graduate School of Art in the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts at Washington University, selected four artists (including me), because of their "acutely observed attitudes about life, identity, and community; and how these attitudes come through in their work."  Spector believes that there is something uniquely Jewish about their outlook (and not what people would think of as traditional Jewish art).  Ten of my sculptures were exhibited in this very spacious gallery.  "Paint the Town Red" is shown in this picture.

Well over 100 guests attended the exhibit at the opening and others attended the Gallery Talk on July 19, 2013.   The exhibition runs through August 18, 2012.
